![]() Of all our bookings you were the only one that didn’t respond to either the voicemail or the email. We contacted all of our bookings and made alternate arrangements. The government then introduced the Rule of Six. You originally booked for 10 people which was fine at the time. I presume you were looking for a reaction so we wouldn’t want to disappoint you, not again anyway… Ordinarily we wouldn’t publicly respond to a review of this nature (to be fair we don’t really get them) but you used words like liar, incompetence, unreliable and dishonest. Oh Chaloner.Extremely disappointing? We’ll tell you what’s more disappointing, people who use Tripadvisor to gain petty revenge against businesses who are simply following regulations and rules over which they have no control. I just thought he came across as quite unprofessional, rude and dismissive. There was no consideration for my friend who could have had a severe allergic reaction which is why we asked for this information prior to consuming. I was disappointed with the response as the barman just said “I guess she just shouldn’t have it if she is not sure.” I don’t expect bar staff to know the contents of each liquor bottle off by heart but he could have at least checked the bottle to see if the shot potentially could have contained nuts. My friend suffers with a nut allergy, one of our friends got a round of shots that had a coffee like flavour so I told him to go back and ask if this was suitable for someone with a nut allergy as I wanted to be sure there were no nuts in the recipe. We booked a table for 8 people, this slot was given to us by accident so in the end we only got a table that seated 6 (at a push) so we were all cramped together on this one booth so we didn’t stay for long. ![]() Saying that, there are lots of ways to improve: Overall the place had a nice vibe, I enjoyed the music and there were good cocktails. ![]() Really recommend if you're looking for something a bit different and special. The prices were quite standard for a cocktail from a nice place (around £10) but with the whole experience of the bar and the nice touches like the water and the snacks made it really reasonable. All the staff were lovely, especially the man who seated us originally and showed us the bar (sorry I didn't get his name) and the waitress who was serving us drinks (I think her name was Chantelle?). It really felt like an experience rather than just a drink and it couldn't have been better - it was really unexpected and such treat. So me and my friend were taken upstairs into the 'caretakers cupboard' which turned a very normal looking cupboard but it had a secret door and lead into a really cool secret bar which we both didn't know was even there! Straight away we were given water and peanut butter snacks and then ordered some drinks which were served really nicely. The lady at the door said they didn't but she shouted across the street to the doorman of Liquor and co and they said they could fit us in which was really nice of her to go out of her way to still get us a table somewhere. My friend and I were trying our luck to find somewhere we could have a drink on a Saturday night without a booking and we came across craft and Co and asked if they had a table.
